This is Katie West at Royal Apparel. Being a domestic vertical manufacturer, transparency is very important to us here. Knitting is a skill and craft, yet often a step forgotten by the consumer. Before a garment gets sewn, it gets cut. Before it gets cut, it gets dyed, and before it gets dyed, it is knitted into fabric using yarn. We only use the finest quality yarns. Most of our yarns are long-stabled, comb ring spun, a premium yarn that produces great fabrics with a very soft hand.
We have a wide variety of knitting equipment ranging from basic fabrics to very intricate stitches. Using the circular knitting machine that knits continuously around, cones of yarn are curled into the machine and yarn is drawn in by a quality control feeding mechanism which is set to give the desired weight and appearance of the fabric.
Over the years, we have worked diligently with our knitters to develop not only new fabric blends, but options in organic, including organic bamboo, hemp, cotton, recycled cotton, and even recycled polyester, which is made from water bottles.
